For those who like their Halloween nights seriously scary, Hangman’s House of Horrors has been a Fort Worth Halloween tradition for decades. The attraction is located on a historic 100-plus-year-old property and combines dark sets, live actors and plenty of unexpected scares. The 2026 season includes select nights from late September through Halloween, with extended hours on many October weekends.
Cutting Edge Haunted House – Fort Worth, TX
Located near downtown Fort Worth, Cutting Edge Haunted House turns a former industrial setting into an intense, multi-story haunted attraction. With live actors, special effects and multiple themed areas, it’s designed for visitors looking for a high-energy Halloween experience. The attraction is open on select nights throughout the 2026 Halloween season.
Junkyard Haunted House – Dallas, TX
Junkyard Haunted House brings a large-scale Halloween experience to Dallas with multiple haunted houses spread across the historic grounds of Old City Park. The 2026 attraction features seven haunted houses across 21 acres, combining historic buildings, live actors and special effects for an immersive night of scares. The Junkyard Haunted House is scheduled to open October 3 and operate throughout the Halloween season.
Dark Hour Haunted House – Plano, TX
Dark Hour Haunted House returns to Plano for the 2026 season with elaborate theatrical sets, creatures, animatronics and immersive special effects. This year’s experience introduces new areas, including Medusa’s Lair and Strega Chamber, along with an expanded goblin-filled labyrinth. The attraction opens September 19 and operates on select nights through November 13.
Creekside Manor Haunted House – Midlothian, TX
Creekside Manor offers an old-fashioned haunted-house experience in Midlothian for visitors ready to enter the manor — if they dare. The attraction operates Friday and Saturday nights throughout October, from 7:30 p.m. until midnight. With its dark atmosphere and traditional haunted-house scares, it’s a fun option for a spooky night out close to home.
The Parker House – Denton, TX
The Parker House combines a haunted walkthrough with an interactive zombie experience and Psycho Circus attraction. The main haunted house takes visitors through graveyards, wooded areas and unsettling scenes inspired by the Parker House story. For families with younger Halloween fans, the attraction also offers select “Not So Scary” nights with toned-down scares, activities and candy.

Guthrie Haunted Scaregrounds – Guthrie, OK
Guthrie Haunted Scaregrounds delivers more than 30,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor scares just north of Oklahoma City. The attraction combines multiple haunted areas and plenty of frightening surprises, making it a popular choice for those looking for a traditional Halloween haunt. During October 2026, the ticket window is scheduled to run from 7 p.m. to midnight on open nights.
Dead Man’s Crossing – Oklahoma City, OK
Located in Oklahoma City’s Automobile Alley, Dead Man’s Crossing puts a unique spin on the traditional haunted house. Created by the team behind Baker Street Escapes, the attraction combines live actors with an interactive, gamified experience where visitors must navigate the attraction while trying to avoid being marked for death. It returns for weekends throughout October.
Chamber of Terror Haunted House – Moore, OK
Just south of Oklahoma City, Chamber of Terror features four different haunted themes for the 2026 season: Piggy’s Slaughter House, Sleepy Meadows Asylum, Burial Grounds and Big Top Terror. OKANA’s Boo Bash – Oklahoma City, OK
Not every Halloween outing has to be terrifying. OKANA’s Boo Bash offers a family-friendly way to celebrate Halloween with resort-wide trick-or-treating, fall festival games, inflatables, pumpkin painting, face painting, live entertainment and a family-friendly haunted house. The 2026 event is scheduled for October 31 from 6–9 p.m.
